About The Pantry
The Pantry is your local low-cost shop based at the Uniting Harris Community Centre, offering affordable pantry food items and toiletries for everyone.
The Pantry is a place for connection where everyone is welcome. We believe everyone should have access to good food.
Through shopping at The Pantry you are making a sustainable choice through combating waste by accessing surplus food and groceries. With the rising cost of living and food insecurity The Pantry is offering a way to stretch your budget through accessing a great deal.

How does it work?
The Pantry is currently open on a trial period on Wednesday afternoons from 1pm – 4pm. Everyone is welcome. Here you can purchase low-cost pantry staples and toiletries and connect with your community.
The Pantry has a grocery shop-style layout, with stock available on shelves and is run by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Through the Support of City of Sydney and our partners CHEX, MustardSeed Uniting Church Ultimo and Christmas in Pyrmont we have created a space for people to connect and access a good deal. We purchase from Foodbank NSW and local businesses to access surplus groceries to sell at an affordable price.
We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and CHEX gift cards can also be redeemed here.
We recommend people bring their own bag, or they can purchase reusable shopping bags at The Pantry.

How you can get involved
Donate
Your generosity strengthens our community. All money raised and donations received circle back into the work we do at The Pantry, allowing us to buy more food and meet the needs of the community.
You can support us by making a monetary donation, purchasing and donating CHEX cards or donating food and essentials.
